Update

I haven't blogged in what has seemed like FOREVER, so I decided to give an update of the past (what was it?) month.

On November 22, I was able to go see Twilight. It was a special morning showing for just the kids in the junior high play and some of their friends. (You know what, theaters should have morning showings all the time. I really liked it.) Nope, I wasn't in the play, but I did have some friends in it, so I went with them. I LOVED IT! It is tied for my favorite movie of all time. (The one it is tied with: A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff.) I can't wait until it comes out on DVD.

In the beginning of November, I had my Young Womens Evening of Excellence, which is where we show our Personal Progress projects that we have completed this year. Mine was on the value knowledge. I was the pianist that night. This is a picture I used in my project.

The following Tuesday afternoon, we headed off to California to visit Grandma Mathews for Thanksgiving and to go to Uncle Paul's wedding. A ton of family was there.

Kaylee (my ever so fun cousin), me, and Lily (my cute little niece)

On Wednesday, I went to do Baptisms in the LA Temple with Aunt Kathy, Kaylee, Danny, Tony, and Uncle Dave. It was really cool!

Thanksgiving was held at Aunt Louise's this year. It was so much fun to see so much family! And, of course, no family gathering is complete without a Girls Club meeting!

That Saturday, Uncle Paul married Laura Hayner in a beautiful ceremony held in Grandma Mathew's backyard. A reception was held afterwards.

The three beautiful flower girls: Regan, Shelby, and Savannah

The family wedding party

Also introduced there was the new hit show: "Dancing With the Uncles and Cousins"

And surprise, surprise! Guess who showed up for the wedding!
Jacob and...

...Matthew! We were also able to see Jared, Zoila, and Alysia!

Easton, Lily,...

...and Bobo came, too, along with Brandon and Camille for Thanksgiving and the wedding!

And, of course, the annual car decorating was held.

Blow, blow, blow!

On December 7th, Dad turned...never mind. We had a family birthday party for him that day.

Mom and Dad (with his funky faces!)

We had the ward dinner where the Young Men and Women were asked to sing in a choir. Pictured above are some of them. (Don't worry, we have more ym and yw than that. Not too many more, but more!)

Like every year, Santa Claus made an appearance.

On December 20th, we had our annual LVVC (Dad's vet clinc) Christmas party. This year, though, it was held at a popular Mexican restaurant called La Fiesta. We had a White Elephant gift exchange. It was tons of fun and very yummy! (Look closely at the hat: camo with light up antlers! Cool!)

Then came Christmas Eve. The annual family Christmas was held at cousin Cindy and cousin Jason's house. Nathan and I opened our Christmas Eve presents, which were, much to our surprise (not!), pajamas.

Hannah Montana pajamas! Oh, yeah!

Christmas morning came with two 8GB mp3 players for Nathan and I.

Nathan gave me a certificate that said he would buy me Twilight on DVD when it comes out. Yea!

Mom made Dad a new red vest, which he is modeling.

For Christmas dinner, we had a couple from our ward over, along with Grandma Schank, Aunt Carol Ann, and Uncle Mark. It was so much fun!

Cousin Darci married Franklin Ray McKnight III on Saturday in the Las Vegas, Nevada temple. We were unable too go because Dad was on call, though. :(
Cousin Kade is marrying Leah Hines on January 3rd.

School is out from December 22nd through January 2nd. It ought to be lots of fun!

I think that sums it all up. 'Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year!

Great update, Chelsie! It was fun seeing the picture of you, Geran, Cassie and Jordan. I can't believe how much everyone is growing up.

What is a White Elephant gift exchange? I think I've heard of it but I don't know what it is.

Nice Hannah Montana pajamas!!!

I bought that same kind of mp3 for Eric for Christmas and he really likes it. Eric especially likes the voice recorder and is making his own songs and records it on there. I think that is the best gift I ever gave (well... maybe not ever).

P.S. STOP TALKING ABOUT TWILIGHT!!!
