Books...

WARNING:
DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE A LOT OF TIME AND A LOT OF PATIENCE
IF YOU CHOOSE TO IGNORE THIS WARNING, I CANNOT AND WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE!!

I went to Reno and Deseret Book about three weeks ago. The next book in this series I was reading was out. Some backround about the book: My Gma Schank recommended a book for me. It started out really good, but by the end, someone had died and everyone was depressed. To make it worse, the girl this guy was in love with wouldn't marry him. *end of book one* My Gma had number two in the series. I had to find out what happened, not because the series was very good, but I just HAD to see what happened and see how it ended. Well, number two wasn't much better. This guy (I'll let you know his name was Jayson just so I don't call him "this guy") was still friends with the girl he loved, and by page four, she decided she really wanted to marry him! Too bad Jayson was already married. Then everything went wrong. Jayson found out his wife was cheating on him, so he divorced her. (By the way, Jayson is a professional musician. He was quite famous during part of the book. He never did anything like his wife did. He wasn't LDS, but he was a really good person and his music wasn't bad.) Also, everyone (and I mean everyone...well, not quite everyone, but it seemed like it!) died, including the girl's (her name's Elizabeth) husband and oldest son. Jayson's one daughter that he had with his ex wife ran away with her boyfriend at age fifteen. The only good thing happening is Elizabeth and her kids joined the Church. After that, Jayson tears the tendants in his hand and is unable to play the piano or the guitar. That makes him get addicted to the pain medication and he almost commits suicide. Elizabeth has him come stay at her house because of the suicide part. She finds out he's addicted to drugs, and they decide to send him to rehab. *end of book two* To make book three really short, Jayson's daughter comes back, Jayson gets off drugs, can play the piano again, and he and his daughter join the church. He and Elizabeth get married, then sealed in the Temple, and have two kids together. Jayson puts out another album with Elizabeth. His daughter gets married in the Temple, and (YES!) nobody dies. Anyway, this book at Deseret Book was number four in the series. My Gma ended up buying it, and let me borrow it. (I won't pain you with another description.) Last Friday (around three weeks from the first time I see number four has come out), I spotted number five on the shelf. Uh, oh, I thought. Luckily, the guy at DB promised me it was the last one. If he's lying, he better watch out! I told my Gma today at Church that it was out, and she asked me why didn't I buy it?!?! (I think she likes it a whole lot better than I do.) She told me that Grandparents day was coming up or something so that I should buy it for her. I never worried about never reading the next book because my Gma always gets it, one way or another.

Thank you for listening to my ranting. For those of you who want to avoid the series (or if my synopsis intreges you, to read them, but just remember I warned you) the series is called "The Jayson Wolfe series." The first book is called the Sound of Rain.
